The French Plastics Industry Federation gathers 1,500 French companies. Its main missions are to define the professional guidelines and to provide initial and continuing training in the sector of plastics industry. Thus, its 50 training centres train 2,100 students and 600 apprentices every year. All its training programmes aim at responding to the needs of the labour market in the field of plastics industry. which is part of their diploma. To facilitate their mobility, it is necessary to use European devices such as the Erasmus programme and the Europass Mobility, the problem being that they are hardly adapted to VET training programmes. Thus, the Plastics Industry Federation is interested in testing a joint implementation of ECVET and ECTS to go beyond this dichotomy and favour vertical and horizontal mobility of its learners. For a few years, the French Plastics Industry Federation has started to promote skills transparency and mobility in Europe for young people and adults. To this end, the diploma Europlastic was created in partnership with 5 European countries (France, Belgium, Poland, Italie, and Greece), according to the European approach to sustainable professionalization. During the training, students experience a period of mobility in Europe which is part of their diploma.
