The Paris chamber of commerce and industry (CCIP) has 4 main missions:  

• Accompanying firms at each stage of their development
• Representing companies’ interests to public authorities
• Developing trade fairs at the service of companies and Paris region attractiveness
• Educating personnel and future CEOs needed by companies.
  

Our Education Division educates each year 14 000 young people at secondary and tertiary levels and 30 000 adults in 12 educational institutions. Our 150 training programmes cover a great variety of educational fields and learning pathways: full-time study, apprenticeship, continuing training.

Our training programmes are designed to respond to the needs of companies and built according to the learning outcomes’ approach. The CCIP commits to bringing closer higher education and vocational training.

Hence, the implementation from 2009 onwards of ECVET represents both a challenge and an opportunity for the CCIP’s educational institutions; this is why we replied to the European Commission’s consultation on ECVET in March 2007 and are now taking part in its trial implementation.
